Some players think that the icons for Co-Op play are not visible enough after Patch 1.08 Test. And the feedback has been put forward to Blizzard. The suggestions including Chat Notification, Map Ping and Monster Icons will be added to the next Patch. How do you think of these functions? Which one do you think is the most useful in co-op play? Chat Notification. It’s hard to know that your teammates are having a battle by finding out a Cross Axes Icon on the mini-map of Patch 1.08. The icon is too hard to be noticed. Chat Notification is a function that a message said ‘you are fighting with xxx’ would be displayed in Chat Window, thus making it easier to know if you need to join your teammates. And the message would be set to a different color in order to highlight. If this function added to the next patch, you’ll know if you need to join a battle by just having a look at the Chat Window.  

Map Ping. Previously, we may miss a lot of legendary items just by listening to the legendary drop sound. When the patch 1.0.5 comes with the legendary star ping. We never miss the legendary anymore. If there would a similar ping on the map when a players engage in a battle, we would come to his help as soon as possible. This is especially helpful when we are stacking the Nephalem stash to farm the key wardens.

Monster Icons. A skeleton icon will be added overhead of the Elites when they are in visual range of a party member. It’s a warning for you to be ready for the following battle. Fight alone or turn to your partners for help depends on you. This function ensure players be aware of the coming of Elites in case that they died by accident. You don’t need to worry about unexpected deaths for monsters’ surprise attack with Monster Icons.
