If you are a returned player to Diablo 3 and who thinks that Act III are still the best farming spot, you are wrong. In patch 1.0.8 the most efficient XP run is Decaying Crypt in Act I The Festering Woods. Of course, you have to stack five Nephalem Valors before you enter that crypt. I have taken a video with my Wizard in this run:
Route:
Festering Woods. Generally you would get at least three stacks NV here. Of course, if you are lucky, you would get five NV here.
Leorics Manor. There is one pack guaranteed at the entrance. But in this video, you can see that, I get three at Festering Woods, two at Leoric Manor.
Field of Misery. Head east towards the Festering Woods waypoint from FOM. For more information about how to locate Decaying Crypt. If you have meet Scavenger’s Den cave, it is worth your try as well.
It is advised to party with other players to make full use of the Crypt. Choose Monster Power 10, Barbarian to locate the Decaying Crypt while Wizard looking for NV. You can finish it in 10 minutes and get about ten million XP. It means you can get at least 60 million experience in one hour.
Diablo 3 Wizard Freezing Archon Build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#bmYSjO!Ygh!ccZZac
In the Crypt, you can get the Archon state always on with so many monsters. The high damage can increase the team efficiency as well. While in the Field of Misery, you can use the Frost Nova to draw the monsters in packs.
To farm in MP 10, Archon Wizard should get at least 50K EHP, 23 DPS unbuffed, 700 all resistance. If you have four friends playing Diablo 3, you would get accustomed to the play style. This would increase your efficiency dramatically as well. In a public game, you should tell other members in case they do not know the style and kill the Elites instead of beat them to little health and wait for others.
